A Glam New Year's Eve Wedding
It was December 14, 2017, a random Wednesday night or so I thought. I am a planner and naturally tend to plan everything in life so it's difficult to plan something and me not figure it out. We were at Halls with friends and he kept insisting that we eat dinner. We tend to eat at the bar often so I suggested that we do that. I had no idea that I had ruined all of his plans of us having a romantic dinner. We were headed home and he pulled up to Rick Erwin's and ask that I get out of the car. It was rather cold that night, so I declined at first, but he persisted. He proposed in the exact spot that we met on the date of our first kiss. Needless to say, I think he might have a little event planner in him as well because I had no idea!
Everything about our wedding was unique from the date, the details, the cake, the weather, to the unique and special bond we share. Brennen and I are both extremely social people so it naturally fit to have a New Year's Eve Wedding. I had dreamed of marrying my Prince Charming at Glassy Mountain Chapel since I was a little girl and everything about our day was all I had dreamed of and more.
Our day was a symbol of who we are as a couple, our favorite things and our closest family and friends. It was the embodiment of true love. Every last detail was thought out from the clocks on the table, our personalized wedding vows, tuxedo menus and napkins, the champagne tower for a midnight toast, our guest book which was a painting of us and our dog and cat to Clemson/Carolina Pom Pom's for our send off. It was an exquisite, intimate gathering to celebrate God's greatest gift of true love.
It rained our wedding day, which they say is good luck. We had to adjust a few plans for photos, first look and cancel the helicopter send off from the chapel, but everything turned out absolutely perfect and the way it was meant to be! The rain held off for our sparkler exit from the ceremony, which are some of my favorite photos. It was so foggy that night, but it honestly made the ceremony that much more intimate and romantic.
